LEGAL

Terms & conditions

These terms govern the supply of goods by Starfield Processing Limited, trading as Celsius Peptides, through this website. They should be read alongside our Research Use Only policy, which forms part of them.

LAST UPDATED 9 AUGUST 2026

1. About us

Celsius Peptides is a trading name of Starfield Processing Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17425213, with its registered office at 111 New Union Street, Coventry, England, CV1 2NT. The company is not currently registered for VAT.

You can contact us by email at support@celsiuspeptides.org, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30.

2. How the contract is formed

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send a dispatch confirmation, at which point a contract comes into existence between us. If we cannot accept your order — because an item is out of stock, because of a pricing error, or because we are not satisfied the Research Use Only conditions are met — we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

Before you place your order we give you the information required by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, including a description of the goods, the total price including taxes, delivery costs, and your cancellation rights. We confirm it in writing after the order.

3. Research use only

Our Research Use Only policy is incorporated into these terms. In particular you agree that the goods are supplied as laboratory reagents for in-vitro research only, that they are not for human or veterinary use, and that you will not represent them otherwise. Breach of that policy is a material breach of these terms.

4. Price and payment

The price shown on each product page is the price you pay. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged and none is added at the basket. Quantity-break pricing is applied automatically at the thresholds shown on each product page.

We take reasonable care to price correctly, but if we discover an error before dispatch we will contact you and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel.

5. Delivery and risk

We aim to dispatch orders placed before 15:00 on a working day that same day. Delivery estimates are estimates and not guarantees.

Goods are at your risk from the time of delivery. Title passes to you when we receive payment in full. For international orders you are the importer of record and are responsible for any duties and taxes, and for confirming the goods may lawfully be imported.

6. Cancellation and returns

Where you deal as a consumer, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you 14 days from the day after receipt to cancel without giving a reason, and a further 14 days to return the goods. Refunds are made within 14 days of our receiving the goods back.

Certain goods are excluded from this right where the law permits, including sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed, and goods that are liable to deteriorate rapidly. Temperature-sensitive material whose cold chain has been broken falls into this category. Our shipping and returns policy explains how this works in practice.

None of this affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in respect of goods that are faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality.

7. Specification and warranty

We warrant that goods will conform to the specification stated on their certificate of analysis at the point of release, when stored in accordance with the stated conditions and used before the stated retest date.

We do not warrant that the goods are fit for any particular experimental purpose. Suitability for your application is a matter for your own assessment, and we recommend confirming identity and purity in your own system where the result matters.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, our total liability arising from a contract is limited to the price paid for the goods concerned. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of research data, wasted experimental time, or consequential loss.

We are not liable for any loss arising from use of the goods otherwise than as laboratory reagents for in-vitro research, including any use in or on a human or an animal. Any such use is a breach of these terms and is entirely at the user's own risk.

9. Modern slavery statement

We do not tolerate slavery or human trafficking in our operations or supply chain. We assess suppliers of raw materials and synthesis services for labour standards before onboarding and periodically thereafter, and we expect them to hold their own suppliers to the same standard.

10. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
